Process

Three phases, one clear path.

From the first sketch of an idea to a complete drawing set your builder can price and build from.

01

Initializing

Before we meet, gather what inspires you.

Observing
Keep a small note tablet with you to jot down architectural styles that intrigue you or spark ideas for style, space, or other features you'd want in your home.
Gathering Visual Ideas
Photograph architectural styles inside and out that fit your vision. Clip magazine photos representing a style or space you'd like to include.
Organizing
Create a folder with clippings, notes, and photographs. These tools help you express your creativity to us so the design meets your expectations.
02

Designing

We meet and shape the composition together.

Size
Area of square footage and number of rooms.
Budget
Funds available to see your dream design through to complete construction.
Style
Types of finishes and accommodative features.
Layout
Placement on the property for best view, privacy, and sun screening.
Codes
Including materials and their sizes.

We review several layouts and conclude with your approval of floor plan and elevation. Once approved, we move to working drawings.

03

Working Drawings

The document set that ties the project together.

A contract you can build from
Working drawings serve as the contract between you and the builder or subcontractors, specifying exactly what's involved.
Approvals and estimates
These plans communicate the project so you can obtain municipal approval, acquire capital, and receive a proper estimate that covers everything.
Confidence to proceed
At the end of this phase, you have a complete set of drawings and can proceed confidently to build the home you envisioned.
